Company was cheap even before mission 1

Of course we would all agree that mission one is the worst nightmare we can fathom but I feel like that even before mission one the company was cheap and here’s why yet I would always say that I liked working for this company but now that I look back I feel like they were always cheap and always took advantage of me and that I wasn’t as valued as I thought I was. At least the entire time I worked for them. In 2017 I was hired as a part timer which at the time worked for me because I didn’t feel that I needed to be full time to support myself plus I had another part time job. And even when I was part time I often worked full time hours hence why I called myself a no benefits full timer. But even as a part timer I was taken advantage of, I either had too many or too little hours, they would often break my ba--s about saying I take off too much and they had me working 2 weekend days when the requirement was only one which I eventually got that fixed but it only took like 5 years to do it. There eventually came a time when I had wanted full time but they wouldn’t give it to me yet they would sometimes hire full timers off the street who didn’t have the experience and weren’t that good. Prior to mission one there were so many part timers who like me worked full time like hours. Full timers were mostly limited to order writers and d store writers but after a while they would hire new full timers yet not train them on how to write and they got paid the same as those who were writing orders and pre mission one I would imagine that it wasn’t as bad but even than there were people who quit because they couldn’t take the job. They may of came off or been looked at as being lazy and/or unmotivated but now that I look back I see they were the smart ones. They often had it set up where all the part timers would have to earn full time which was a joke because once mission one started they became so desperate they would hire all these guys with no experience in grocery retail whatsoever yet in a few weeks they would be writing orders. Finally they give me full time after mission one starts. Why were they so cheap to give me full time beforehand yet I was known as one of the hardest working part timers on the team yet when mission one starts they finally give it to me? Comes to show they never really cared or valued me even if I thought they did. Everyone is basically nothing more than an extra pair of hands and they don’t care about the extra miles you may go all they care about is having someone to get the work done which is why the bar got set so low. As to why they finally made me full time was because with less reps means more order writers and the company needs all the help that it can get because they could never get enough people interested to come on board and if they did get people on board it was a matter of how long they last and if we could keep anyone who had been here for a while. If I knew what I know now I would have never taken the full time offer as an order writer post mission one. I was in that role for a little over a year and it made my life a nightmare from he-l. I’m so glad that I no longer have to deal with waking up every day to have to go to 3 stores to packout orders, work through the backstock that piles up because nobody has time, write orders, write credits, get dinged over low quality salesforce notes and constantly be told my order writing su-ks. Well you know why my order writing su-ked because mission one su-ks and this company su-ks and they want everyone to do what’s impossible to get done. When I handed my tablet in it was the greatest feeling I had in a long time. This job left a physical, mental and emotional toll on me that I’m still trying to overcome. I became very down, lost interest in a lot of the things I like to down, was never in the mood to talk to anyone and I’m having difficulty transitioning to my new job because of all the he-l I went through when mission one took affect but I’m slowly getting my life back and that’s what I need for myself. I would rather much go through the challenge of getting my life back after months of being down in the dumps than continue to go to work for this company everyday to be hounded for everything I did wrong only so that I would one day get pi---d off enough to do something stupid where they would have to have fired me.

I had heard about territory manager I just know that it only exists in certain parts of the country. If I’m not mistaken a territory manager is basically a sales rep with RMS responsible and an even larger territory. Like if a typical sales rep has 25-40 stores a territory manager has say 50-60 stores and is more or less managing the merchandisers that work for him/her. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think that’s what a territory manager is.

Territory manager is a sales rep. They should have changed the name right when they started mission 1

Overworked and underpaid, and the entire time getting treated like trash. 🤔, no thanks!

Everything you wrote is not only very true, but it also represents so many in this organization. It’s great you got out, I’m sorry it has left a lasting toll on you. Time heals! Management has made this organization the absolute worst place to work, it was honestly a very coveted position.
So much nepotism, out right discrimination, and picking favorites goes on! Everyone I know that has left, like myself, is so much happier! Focus on finding the happy you again! When you work hard be respected, demand it! Get everything in writing! If you are passed over for a promotion, ask why!

Agree with everything you say, I was also a part timer working more than some full timers over a long period of time way before mission one, when mission one started, even a year or so before mission one ... it was horrible then it even got worse. Full time order writers have the most stress on them right now, and they don't pay them for the insane amounts of work they do, while upper management just adds work onto them while sitting on there b-ms. It's toxic, get out.
