Which teams will be affected in this layoff? Any idea?

Even the 5000 useless VP’s are immune? That’s a shame.
Meraki TA was already completely gutted last round. There are only a few left.
CX is immune to this LR. Remember this post.
@1yye+1tXDbs0n not lean enough
What does a rep for them do than an AM can't
Effected?
We will know this week. Stop speculation and asking here where nobody knows except for the occasional manager comes in and says I have a list without telling the org
What about Silicon One/Silicon Ops team? Will that be impacted?
Meraki is already seriously lean, I am not sure if someone is let go from my team how remaining people will manage the workload.
Meraki sales specially are who is safe.
Meraki is not safe, I’m aware of the list. Big changes coming for Meraki PM org, will be impact to the separate Meraki recruiting team as well. Some changes coming to Support too as part of this
Lots of SE middle management is getting culled. Streamlining reporting structure and spam and control. Also heading commercial will have the last vestiges moved to virtual.
Red badges are safe…
I keep seeing this post… red badges are safe (for now) because they are not considered full-time employees and - therefore - are not included in the LR. They can be let go at the end of a contract, which I believe is reassessed every quarter, or when a contract is cancelled; that is the nature of contract work.
@zhk - good to know. Is Craighead getting the boot ?
I think it’s safe to say, if you are getting a paycheck from Cisco and are not a member of the ELT, it’s possible you could be affected.
SBG will get hit big again this time. More cuts directed at Directors & Sr Managers levels. Another reorg across SBG.
I hope JD cuts himself off. He is so cringy and clueless.
Effected or affected? Pack your bags.
For any team its a good chance to let go someone you don't like.
SBG has proven it can take a punch like a champ!
In the past, SBG continuous layoff engineers big or small, the remaining team members not only absorbed the additional workload but handled it seamlessly. This success is a testament to the strength of the leadership team.
It would be about time to sla-ghter some of the fat CX cows. Too many "VP's of Something" ...
SBG can take a good trimming. And I am in SBG
Denise Schiffman is in Cisco now as SVP since 2023 . She was VERY CLOSE to JD when they were both at Juniper and JD was her boss. JD moved to Cisco in April 2017 and DS got booted in July. Now she is back, close to JD. Watch for new "dynamics". Both teams will be interesting to observe.
CSE org will get hit. Big reorg in cx.
Meraki is safe, but I'd say EN is in trouble. Any business that didn't really grow.
Whichever teams get affected, The Supreme Leader of the UKI SE org will remain constant among all the changes. The untouchables. And TV appearances paid off company money will continue.
The UKI VP will keep ranting “best place to work”.
These two factors have remained constant since 2020 among all the changes at Cisco UKI. Besides change being the only constant that is.
Meraki cull
