Popped on here after being out of the company myself for 6 months. This site is blowing up I am shocked I read a lot of the recent dialogue. I know a lot of the ins and outs . I can offer to help with you with any questions you have or try to offer advice. It's all I've got but other than sending blessings and a hug..

I answered the employee survey honestly for the first time and got RIFed. I think is was my quiet qutting that got me RIFed. This company is depressing and toxic, so I just gave up and decided to wait to be RIFed.

Any RIF'ed people answer the employee survey Truthfully? I did. I did not sugar coat .. then I was hit. Took some time but it was the first time I was honest. It did not fair well at all for the company. Just wondering..

Yes those are the same 2 things noted on mine. Maybe it’s the same for everyone who got RIF’d? If it’s same for all, then I don’t know what’s the point of noting those 2 things, unless they just want CYA for a lawsuit.

I think we got dinged on values portion if we complained or criticized anything about leadership. Or if made negative statements using “ How are you feeling” thing on Pulse. I figured no one every looked at them but sure my managers could figure out it was me. People Leaders want their stats on employee surveys to be good and by retaining the a$$ kissers it ensures positive outcomes on employee survey.
The other one on mine was competencies to do the job. Don’t know why that was marked as I was just as competent as my peers.
I think it was just d-mb documentation to satisfy rif requirements and really doesn’t mean much at all.
Don’t take them personally. No sense in second guessing yourself and thinking you could have done things differently to avoid the rif.

I got riffed on Friday and I’ve never had any performance issues. My manager does not like me for whatever reason and has been harassing me since I went in FMLA for a few weeks last year. How much of a mangers decision factors into who is riffed?

Got the meeting Thursday morning and HR swooped in saying emails coming. Friday I received the first one pager with final pay date. Today Monday I get the grand HR email with many more attachments. There is one attachment that claims to cover that the company isn't doing age discrimination, but includes wording with dept and "following factors to select individuals for term" and it says "skills and competancies" and second line, "values". What does being term'd for 'values" even mean? how? where did this come from?

Lost. Tired. Stressed.
