Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Investing in a sinking ship?

Putting myself in an investor's shoes, why would I invest my hard earned money in intel? What's the potential long term holding benefit? Losing mobile market, PC/gaming market, crypto mining, and finally AI? When will all the hopes that the CEO is showing come true?

I’m not quite as negative as other posters … once we are all gone ; they have a chance of getting back to profitability on a still not insignificant $50B+ business….. they will divest investments (like arm) and sell a ton of real estate (there is a hit list) …. I also believe they will split the foundry off from the rest of the company … + some exec changes .. so I see potential for the stock to rise at least back to $35 ish … granted not quickly.

That said - I wouldn’t buy … though I may hold the cr-p they are going to vest to me on my exit and see what happens

When you buy a stock, you're essentially investing in a company's future. You're betting that the company will grow, perform well, and increase in value over time. This growth can lead to higher stock prices, which means you could potentially sell your shares for a profit. It's a way of participating in the company's success.

With that said, do you believe that Intel will grow and perform well in the future?

Your money would probably be better even in a checking account with fees instead of INTC

Intel does not have the economy of scale to compete with TSMC. Internal products cannot
fund the capex required for leading edge fabs.

So, Intel must convince others to use their fabs. They are failing with 18A. They will need more capital infusions to continue until they can land customers.

Who is going to trust Intel?
Seriously - who?

DONT buy. Unless you want to park your money and have it do nothing. The stock will stay around 20 for the next decade or more.
