Why did you bother giving Dell notice? I didn't. Last year I just told my manager that today is my last day. They asked for 2 weeks, I countered with people being laid off didn't get 2 weeks notice. They said that I would not be eligible to apply for a job at Dell again. I countered with I don't care.
