The company is being managed to maintain profitability not growth. Sales have been on a decline since 2007. Can they keep this up for 5 more years? I’m guessing it’s about 2 or 3…

Now what happened?
The institutional knowledge that was let go today is appalling. Long term, smart people who have saved Staples countless dollars and hours. If this isn’t a clear indication that this company is going under, I don’t know what would make it clearer. For those who are left: It is past time to make a move to a more stable company . The ‘leadership’ of this company has no idea what they are doing. Since November it has been one great person after another, escorted out. Polish those resumes!
