July is the PIP month

Be careful if your 1on1 is set for the 12th or the 19th

@swb If I were in your situation, I would be applying and interviewing for other jobs right now. Get a side hustle while you’re at it. That way, when The Man messes with your life, you’ve got other income to fall back on. Never stop applying to jobs, no matter how secure you think your job is.

This is the way.

@hte Also a standard tactic of the tech companies everybody here keeps claiming to be getting hired at.

When you see office seating capacity being reduced, start applying to other jobs if you haven’t been already. Companies do this in advance of an RTO/relocation order knowing that people won’t or can’t comply. Then they turn around and fire them for violating company policy.

Positive reviews are also given during this timeframe.
No need for the hupping up, opie.

With all the asset sales planned, shouldn't PIP targets be more like 8%. Still way too many exploration geoscientists and LoCarbon personnel working on low/no return projects. Also, projects will be slowing down alot, since PNG/MOZ is going slow and very few Downstream and chem projects. Surely with the sc--w up at Golden Pass there are many project people that need to be Pip'd.

@cag+1tivMANz Dude, of course. They want to get rid of us. Also note that you have to inform management of your decision to relocate to Houston by April 1st, just when the PA period starts. If you don't relocate you'll be NSIed. Guys, what else do you need to convince yourselves that this was another layoff in disguise by Darren W? He fucced our lives big time.

Since Clinton is closing, are they forcing disproportionately higher NSI% at Clinton to facilitate attrition?

The goal of NSI is to eliminate at least 4%. 5% are selected to encourage folks to leave thru PIL or retirement. You will only pass a PIP if they already got the 4% between PIL and retirement. You'd be in the "safe" NSI 1% until next year. There is no PIP choice if this is your 3rd NSI within 5 years.

My supervisor just scheduled a PDS review with me on 7/12? Does that mean I will be PIPed??? I am very worried as I just purchased a new house and have $3,500 per month mortgage payment and don’t have a lot of savings. I don’t know what I will do….

BTC have such low standards that even a BTC engineer whose every work product required correcting is safe from NSI. The engineer in the USA that made all the corrections to the BTC mistakes is much more of a PIP target.
