Saw a friend's G8 ATTD offer from January 2024: $255k (base+ Bonus) + $120k restricted cash 3yr. $295k/yr for a mid/low level engineer isn't super low. Its totally fine.

I got a G10 IFS offer not that long ago that was $305k + 250k restricted cash 3yr. That's pretty dang good for a mid level engineer too. I'm on this website today checking how things are at Intel wondering if I made the right decision a few months back turning it down.

If you are good at what you do and not looking out for yourself, you are by definition stupid. If you are on here complaining about Intel and not doing what is right for your career, you are by definition stupid.

The other problem with Intel is that they under-level people. Competent engineers can level up doing the same thing at another company.

So, when using levels.fyi you need to up level to compare.

Everyone knows how hard it is to get promoted at Intel. No growth = few promos

Indeed and Comparably show that Intel scores higher than Nvidia on compensation. I think TC for an Intel engineer with 5 - 10 years experience will be the same or better than if they were working in Nvidia. Nvidia is notoriously stingy and this year their CEO had to step in and give an extra RSU grant to boost employee morale. They are trying their best to retain employee focus, and maybe losing workers to companies like Intel and AMD.

Funny but I thought levels.fyi shows that Intel underpays by a wide margin.

Maybe it’s more equivalent at more junior levels

Intel's base pay is not competitive because Intel isn't competitive.

Intel isn't competitive because you whiny losers don't understand simple logic.

@pdc+1tjD8aqu Common man! We all know the website. Show me our compensation is competitive or at least the same level compared to peers. I’m sure you can put side by side by selecting companies and get unique URL to support your claim 😉 I’m challenging all those who say Intel’s base pay is competitive 😁

Go to
Levels.fyi

I’ve found it to be fairly accurate.
