Just a suggestion. OP: be more proactive and find something that fulfills you. We all volunteer to be laid off every day….

Just move companies. Layoffs don’t really help you long term. Just get a new job.
I was told to lay off my lowest performers, so try that.
If you want it then they won’t give it to you. Bill gets off on the “f-ck you” component.

Be a hard worker who actually asks pertinent questions and pushes back on nonsense work and their propaganda. Worked for me. Good luck!
