Thread regarding Optum layoffs

How is this company still operating?

List of penalties applied in this article is unbelievable - and the offshoring of medical records hasn’t even been flagged by HHS yet. This must be a case of “too big to fail” - but I always thought that CMS looked at privacy violations and security breaches when deciding whether to give companies the ability to offer Medicare Advantage plans https://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/parent/unitedhealth-group

Remember your congressional reps likely have skin in the game and have stock in the company. When you have dirty hands you often turn a blind eye as it may affect the oh so holy stock price - - shareholder value. The CEO of UHG actually had a track record of over $3billion violations with the last organization for which he was the CEO at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). These were for bribing physicians to prescribe their GSK medications/mis-selling dr-gs in the US. Great things happen under his leadership. The boards don't really care as long as the stock price goes up. They just pay the fine and move on. It's the consumers, insureds, employees and others who pay the price for the companies' misgivings. It increases our costs. That is the bottom line. We the people are who pays the price for their issues as they continue to line their pockets. DIRTY FILTHY company and leadership.

Have you tried contacting global entry application support line? It’s always “no name” given foreigners handled the call. Feds offshoring? Of course Medicare can care or less. I was told only card payments no offshoring. Yes, $ is more important than human health

Medicaid / state plans dont like offshoring. Medicare / feds could care less

that is because it isn't not illegal to access or maintain the data offshore under Medicare.
