You think that's bad. I once had an Intel manager who would come to the cafeteria at lunch and round up the team when she had an "Urgent Issue". ZERO work life balance!
If OP is in IT I completely understand. One issue can burn up your entire weekend on some stressful adhoc crisis meeting in TF mode investigating an issue, and the hours and stress are typically unrewarded as being on call hasn’t been compensated in a long time. It’s easier to be out of reach.
People like you made it a has been company. You probably have an entire wall of participation awards to chronicle your life.

I do my 32 hours per week, then don't look at my laptop until late Monday morning.
If PG wants more out of me, he's gonna have to give me more.

hmm... to receive an IM you need to be logged in but not necessarily showing yourself as online. Are you actually a closet hard worker who claims to have a sh!t attitude? Seems to me if you take your holidays and weekends off you would leave your laptop in your backpack until Monday morning.
I guess that you won’t be surprised when you and thousands of other people lose your jobs because Intel is failing. Good luck in the current job market. I bet that your real surprise will be that if you do get a job offer it will be for less than you make now.
