Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Attitude of employees causing Intel to sink

Not blaming all but people are too lazy or too comfortable with the Intel business process and jargon. Nobody is eager to make decisions, people logging off at 3 PM, logging in back at 10 AM, too many working meetings, taking breaks for dropping off kids etc., no offense but if you have a baby and you know you need more time then it’s not someone’s job to pick up the slack. Managers need to be aware of what the roles are. Managers are neither tech nor people manager. I think Intel needs a major overhaul. Have a skill matrix, upskill the employees, make decisions at the ground level. Done with my rant!

"make decisions at the ground level" That is how it was before we hired MBA's as CEO's. Funny, Pat sure does fit in good with the MBA crowd.

Bad leadership has resulted in bad employees.

Bad attitudes are the result of a frustrated and beaten down workforce. If you work hard you probably won’t get ahead due to DEI, nepotism, or favoritism. I am really surprised that more people aren’t leaving on their own to improve their lives.

Stop blaming game on employees id--ts. It is all about your stupidity and uneducated decisions that lead to the fall of Intel and toxic environment. When the shi t company turns bad then the employees got laid off. Why not you id--ts at Intel?

OP is absolutely correct. It was bad before the pandemic, but exploded with remote work.

Bad leadership and management caused Intel to sink, bad attitudes are sinking it further.

"We need someone like Elon to fire 50% of the entrenched corrupt managers and VPs."
we don't need an overpaid fat re--rd, intel has plenty of those
the people on top come from the board
if the board is bad/corrupt, you are dead in the water unless they move on
who are the majority shareholders of intel

We have VPs with two direct reports!

This is actually a good attitude and let it sink further more. It is a good time for the high paid id--ts pretend to do the hard work sleeping in execute office or cubicles all day.

This is spot on, remote work is a mess people are not online, always have an excuse for an appointment of this, that, or the other, away in teams and unreachable, want a button or solution handed to them instead of working it up on their own. Intel is doomed, intel needs to fire min 40K before the Dec special RSU grants vests. Now watch the lazy crowd post about the boomers - go
