Aren't all banks the same from work culture POV? Dog eats dog... Thus layoffs too are a norm.

Work-force reductions are pretty normal for dysfunctional organizations which fail to properly assess human resource needs while balancing that against incompetent managers especially at the top of the house.
I have worked at other banks and of course there are politics, no work-life balance, reorgs, etc but not as bad as here...but at least I felt I was delivering something and had things to celebrate for real. Here at BNY Pershing is very hard to get anything done, of it takes a very long time. Alao pay is better at other banks, but it is a tradeoff with WLB. Also, I have to say it...there are a lot of d-mb people in this place...
I think work-force reductions are a pretty normal thing.
