Checking in on recruiting process after fake interview scandal

It has been over two years since the fake interview scandal came to light. I recall BL coming on the company wide town hall and committing to make a huge overhaul of the recruiting process and candidate experience, including providing detailed feedback to every candidate not hired.

Two years later, I am curious if there has been any meaningful improvements to the recruiting process? Would be nice to hear feedback from those who have been involved recently on either the recruitment or candidate side.

Just about everything is fake at Wells Fargo.

I had to hire someone because my manager had strongly recommended them but not based on their credentials. Is that not looked upon favorably?

@mla+1twNl0RV. That changes everything. They have no idea what they are looking at.

The only thing that changed is that US recruiters no longer review the resumes. Recruiters in the Philippines review the resumes and rank the applicants and understandably, they don’t do a very good job. Being a US based recruiter at Wells Fargo might be the worst job in the industry. Zero leadership within Talent Acquisition.

Went through a 6+ month process in communications for 1 role. Was told at the beginning it would be 1 or 2 rounds of interviews and "we're hiring for a few positions". This turned into 1 after another rounds, I think 4+ in the end, plus exercises that were completely arbitrary & biased. Think HM reached out to old manager who was green & biased herself & got unqualified neg review. There were MONTHS of not hearing anything & being left in the dark. Received no communication. It was a joke. Oh yeah, ironically one of the job descriptions was to work on projects to "protect the reputation of the bank"- so you can't treat qualified vetted WF job candidates decently & the tenets of the job are supposed to protect the bank's reputation? What a joke of an org. So glad I never got hired in this role. It saved a HUGE black mark on my resume.

It is still as corrupt as ever. Most of the HR recruiters are terrible and overwhelmed. The hiring managers are disengaged and have no interest in hiring the best candidate. Focus is still on hiring and promoting your friends. The lack of controls and transparency is truly disgusting and in my opinion worse than ever before.

I wonder, based on BL country of origin - is that why there on few if any american or western European names found even in the stateside hires.

Look at the org charts - US natural citizens are not being hired, They ARE being displaced.
