Why intel has big rewards for referrals from competition company?

Maybe because no one wants to join intel

Every employer pays referral bonuses, some more than others. The rationale is that it's cheaper to find and recruit quality candidates through referrals from existing employees than it is to pay headhunters or temp agencies or to advertise the position.

Intel anonymous boards are epically racist.

Referrals, aka nepotism, is one of the biggest contributors to Intel's downfall. No other company has as many husband/wife duos both working in the same office as Intel. And yes, I'm going to say it - they are mostly Indian.

Intel doesn’t actually need to close out and hire whoever was referred so essentially this is a promise of payment for employees to identify who’s worth recruiting in the competitors. Remember 20 drive 80 results. Not everyone is Jensen even if they project and believe themselves as such.
