Was so proud for so many years to work at INTC. When margins were 60%+, we felt untouchable. We used to laugh about AMD clinging to a meager existence… how the times have changed…
So many still think we are that 60%+ margin company that will simply bounce back… those dreams are all but faded… some cannot hear/see the reality beyond their little walled city that barely stands any more…
Macro changes in Taiwan may not be enough to save INTC. Like America, the cause for decline is every bit as much internal lethargy as it is macroeconomic influences. You can only miss so many times on the macro changes… and you can only go so long without pivoting on the inside of the company.
INTC is in deep need of drastic transformation. I fear the gumption and willpower are just not there right now to see it to fruition... INTC needs a major wake up call and a big serving of humility… both of which are probably too late…
