Has anyone else spotted the security uptick in the cafeteria? It seems they're on a mission to thwart the great Soda/Coffee/Fruit heist of our time!

Your assuming they aren't already doing that.
Cost cutting/reduction strategies after every layoff announcement. More security people standing around in the cafeteria less people taking free foods and drinks = save money. Next time they will use AI to record and analyze your activities in the cafeteria so don’t poke your nose, rub your a-s, touch your genitals etc … there.
Must be RA. Only place I ever saw that enforced for GB's in the last 10 years.
and not save much
It's not about saving money. It's about doing something publicly that makes it look like they are saving money.
Not offering bananas is not going to conjure up the 10 billion per year in operational expenses.
Intel management is SO BAD.
All this will do is demoralize people and not save much.
It takes a special kind of person to blow a 6 figure job for a banana...
C'mon people! Leave those bananas alone. It's not worth becoming a thief for a few lousy bananas. I am sure you can all afford to pay for it. Alternatively, grab a few on the way to work.
Shhh! Go ahead, take those bananas.

Where is this? Not happening in Leixlip (yet)
I knew people working at cafeteria caught quite a few employees either not paying or Short change for what they ordered.
One employee told them, as I was close by paying my pizza, oh, I didn't know it's not free.. LIAR ...
As a green badge, it's sweet revenge for all the times blue badges told us not to take fruit, coffee, attend events, or even play at the pool or ping pong table! Haha blue badges welcome to my world!
Akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
Gotta protect those bananas at all costs!
They are worried people are upset and will get rowdy.
