Was told by a very reliable VP that the layoffs will not go out to employees affected until mid September. Take that for what it is worth. I do not get why they would not do it now. Ugh!

You’re giving this ELT too much credit. Flying everyone out, hotel, food, etc just to cut them sounds exactly like something they’d do.
The delay for the long 2022 notification period is because they were offering early retirement packages and those had to be decoded first
my buddy who is a director said the same thing. not safe until sept crazy everyone going to gsx and there is a layoff looming. before they would lay people off before gsx.
I meant Oct--Dec 2022, not 2023.
I have no info one way or the other, but there is recent precedent for a similar approach, used for the Oct-Dec 2023 LR cycle. My recollection is they told everyone in October or November that there was a notification date mid-December. So we all got to stew on it for the whole time. Super cool.

My husband was laid off by threatened diversity hire id--t after attending GSX… he asked what kind of financial idiocy is this? It cost thousands $$for just him No response.. she was terrified of him. Financial idiocy.

Can you specify what country? Europeans are in the upside down and their layoffs take an eternity to do. I'm 99% sure this isn't true outside Europe.

I find it hard to believe the would fund a boondoggle to GSX(Vegas) for a bunch of people who are getting tossed out. I’d expect things to be done before that.
