Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Best place to work is wrong by default

I think the best place to work surveys are completely wrong. Anybody who wants to speak negatively about CSCO is afraid those things aren't anonymous so they don't fill them out. People who thinks it's perfect, happily fill it out. Has anyone ever filled it out negatively?

It’s a paid for position, similar to Forbes 30 under 30.. you pay to play not based off surveys from my understanding

I’ve filled out the survey but did so on a personal device for that very reason. There is no way in he*ll Cisco retains best place to work in 24….. We transcribe WebEx calls, what else are they monitoring?

Another thought on this huge LR? The timing on the sp--k acquisition is also a big part of this. Let’s not sugarcoat that. A $28 billion acquisition at this time is not something we really could afford, but hey… let’s make everybody take a week of vacation, put a halt to all travel expenses, except for Fran and the executives of course, do a midyear layoff of 4000 people, bring down our company performance factor to 61% so our bonus payout garbage, plus they don’t have to pay those bonuses to the current Q1 layoffs of 6000… all these cost cuts so we could afford to buy Splunk and still keep wall street happy. If they truly meant this was about investing in AI and not cost cutting? They would be providing UPSKILLING instead of culling.

I once believed in our leadership and I now I feel I am around greasy used car salesmen. I can’t even explain my feelings towards this company. Why make us take ethics training when you can clearly see the lies. I am at a loss for words right now.
