Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Will closed offices open again?

Will the closed offices open again in a smaller location? For example in CA, they closed down a bunch of offices but they are apparently opening an office out in Rancho Cucamonga? Which is literally in the middle of nowhere. Are people in the West expected to commute there?!?! Most people live in LA, Irvine, south Orange County which is over 60+ miles one way/ almost 3 hrs in traffic during the weekday!

Not happening this year. New CEO won’t spend any money on toilet paper, much less a new building. He’s subletting floors in Houston for extra cash. Until the market turns around and Network is not his problem anymore, he’s going to be digging in couch cushions in the lounge to try to pay for the HVAC bills.

The people who was commuting from Moreno Valley, Murrieta, Victorville etc. was all contractors. No one who is a FTE in their right mind will travel over 3 hrs for a company that pays low wages. Min wage in CA is now $20…bet you that’s more than what these individuals were making!!!

Rancho Cucamonga is the gateway to the Inland Empire!!

Don't forget that our warehouse in Fontana is minutes away as is HP. This will make mockups and ops easier on the office team. Also our CBTS demo is in Fontana. Lots of great reasons to be in the IE.

It is far from no where but you can see no where if you a little more like Palm Desert.

They told me that there was not going to be space in Rancho and stay remote for the foreseeable future. If someone is in Rancho, don't know anyone who relocated there, they can comment on the space.

Rent is lower in the IE compared to beachside cities. I can follow the work if I have to. Driving from SBDO to Irvine was a drag as it would be going the other way. Just another annoyance.
