It’s not my time hearing in BR during RTO days that most stores may be looking to be sold off post VSP to local indirects. But I am hearing it a lot the last few weeks from different people. Does anyone have a scoop on this?

The problem is that VZ GTS can't create the proper, reliable , scalable solutions to support this business models. They all should go, they are old and out of touch with the new generations.
I believe just another rumor. The mgmt that oversee the stores are out of touch and don't know what goes on in them. Having a high and arbitrary quota every month in a saturated market is archaic and is ripe for not doing the right actions for the customers. A huge mistake that just happened was to take over Verizon in the kiosks in Best Buy. The Kiosk in other retailers locations(BJs, Circuit City, PC Richard, etc)failed 10 years ago. Why now? Do you believe the outdated model has changed? This is why Verizon should get out of the retail business and close and sell their retail stores
Reinventing the wheels won't save them. By the way the turnover rate will become unmanageable with the frontline reps because of non attainment of 80% to quota and paying reps in December $700to $800 commission after achieving 60 to 70 gross adds for that month. Shows no integrity!
That has been a rumor for years. It’s not true because indirect costs more to operate for VZW . We want to cut costs. The rumor starts because every few years we adjust our foot print of stores locations and offer A FEW of them to indirects. And the few that happen, gets exaggerated.
