Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Does anyone truly believe Karen's story about her book title?

If you ask me it seems a bit far fetched that in the 80s a woman would be told sit in the back because that's where woman belong....is her entire aura completely made up???

Karen is full of cr-p. Just can’t believe how many people WANT to believe her simply because they don’t have the ability to function if they have to face the truth.

Post ID: @yrk+1u26oU9G, thank you for your sensible and mature response to a jerk who trolls this board night and day complaining about "DEI" and "woke".

Maybe they’ll send Karen’s book to us this year instead of another cr-ppy pin, No matter, either would go into the trash.

It’s almost too perfect of a story that someone was that blunt with her. I’d lay down good money she twisted the actual story to fit the narrative she wanted.

Typical “glass ceiling” bullsh-t they like to push to attempt to bolster their image. Don’t buy it. Don’t ever buy it.

Karen ain't woke and this forum has some weird energy on diverse folks in the workplace but I can promise you they're being treated just as much like sh-t as the rest of us. You're not woke our about mental health if you fu-k up the livelihoods of 5000 people for a stock bump and I can promise many of them were talented people that fall under the diversity umbrella. Have some empathy for your fellow humans okay they don't hate ya they're trying to make a living too.

I heard it was a complete lie. She simply was asked to sit behind the table because they were saving room at the table for the people presenting/speaking. I think it is kinda sad that they invited her to learn and she turned it around to play the victim card. It is telling to hear her tell stories like that because it shows her woke victim personality is nothing new. She is horrible and things will not get better until she is gone.

I was a young woman entering the work force in the 80s. I was asked on more than one occasion to go fetch coffee (I don’t “fetch” anything for anyone) and I was told more than once to sit in the corner and look pretty. It happened then and it’s still happening today. Believe me.

Ans let's not forget this stuff still happens nowadays in different pockets of the society and businesses too. Good for her to step up and make a career out of that like that.

Yes, the company results are challenged, but let's not question everything. We're the same company that saved lives during the pandemic. We're a force of good, during challenging financial times and these dynamics are not unique to us - look at Walgreens, Humana etc.

I’m a dude. I had an internship at a big corporate insurance agency in Boston around 1986. 99% of the women that worked there were secretaries and s-xual harassment wasn’t just tolerated, but almost expected. I can’t recall a single woman in management at the time, let alone at the executive level. The people running the ship grew up in the 30’s and 40’s. Say what you want about Karen and her book, but I can absolutely believe that happened and I wouldn’t be shocked if I personally witnessed it at some point and just don’t recall.
