Do we know which day we’ll know about our promos? November 1st? Or is that when it goes into effect? This is all dependent on whether I’m not LR’d lol

I know people from a year ago who are still jobless. I know G12s who ate interviewing who can't get offers. For a 20% interest you gotta be earning very poor money here. Very few here can find a job in this market within 6 to 9 months.
Sounds like either your manager told you you were getting promoted or you are expecting one for some reason like it automatically happens after a time period. ICs need to get it out of your minds - tenure doesn't mean squat.
Easy 20% increment in this market? Some people affected in the last layoffs are still jobless…
Conversations with your manager regarding Merit, Promo, Stock will be Oct 22 - Nov 1. Payout/Effective date is Nov 1.
At this point it's actually better to get the severance package and hop for easy 20% increment externally vs the pay stagnation staff are familiar with at cisco

Lol even if you got a promo it's pretty clear all raises are going to blow this year again
