Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Is Sept 16th the day notices will start going out?

Anyone can confirm this? If that’s the case, then these layoffs are truly badly managed.

300 next week likely means those are sales related people because they wouldn’t want to spend the money sending them to a sales meeting only to LR them after getting back.

I'm glad I was LR-ed earlier this year. This sounds brutal....

Guess I'm not working for an entire month while we wait for the decisions. I'll opt into the "unlimited" PTO plan early and take four weeks off.

Seems a bit awkward to have layoff notifications at the same time frame as rewards conversations are supposed to happen...

They’ve known it was coming for months yet still need another month to figure it out. If this company can’t get good at the one thing they do all the time then we’re really effed.

Very disappointed that it’s going to take this long. Heck I’m super stressed just not knowing the past couple of days. But I have made up my mind about leaving being my primary focus now.

I heard 300 this month and the rest 9/16.

What a pain. Get the tums out!

My manager confirmed no notices until 09/16 and impacted people will stay on the payroll until the end of November.
