Thread regarding Palo Alto Networks Inc. layoffs

🛑🖐️⏱️BroCulture & Lack of REAL HR Finally being Exposed???

How wide spread is this backlash? How many other clients will walk over this insanely ridiculous scandal?

A significant consumer brand #technology company C-Suite has BLOCKED $PANW from being an authorized vendor & that PANW didnt do the proper apologizing to change clients mind.

Will earnings hold up to this backlash? With the people they pushed out this month, it implies it was to save money.

What is funny is they talk about not being able to obtain qualified folks. Though I would ask the bigger question, why can't they keep them. Take PC for example. The average length someone stays there is a little over a year. There are some good folks, who are trying to change things, but they are typically forced to keep quite or leave because they are fed up with what they are seeing. I have meet a lot of great individual contributors, who I will hopefully known for years, but lower/middle management foster a very toxic, s-xist environment. Folks who see stuff, are two afraid of speaking up, in fear of retribution. Many are aware if it is a big problem at Palo. When you leave, they make you sign an iron doc that prevents you from speaking up.

There is a culture. It's not American nor American women, that is for certain.
It's almost laughable that this is a US Based company

Yes! It was the Match group that said no thank you to working with a company that uses women as props

The CEO appeared sincere in his commitment to ethics during the All-Hands. I hope he realized the "bad actors" who are on his exec team that have allowed the bad behaviour. I suspect many of them are now in CYA mode knowing there is a Top-Down message of taking Ethics seriously. Keeping my ear to the ground hoping for nuggets. Have any of you observed any cultural changes since last week?

I learned that the Match Group, the parent company of Match dot com, pulled out because the optics were so bad. Makes sense. They have to protect women on dating sites from predators so they couldn't bee seen working with a company who sees women as objects.

I don't believe those shorts were from Palo Alto. It doesn't excuse the ABSOLUTELY INSANE use of Women. Lampshades or Not. This industry is already hypersensitive. It is a no brainer. The suggestion of "models" would and should be an absolute non starter. Period. The block out their faces and use them like props is flat out crazy. This isn't an oversight. This was perfectly normal for the marketing team. The punishment needs to be swift. Fierce. And permanent.

Palo Alto subscribes to the Don't Ask Don't Tell type of Culture. It is a ZERO SUM GAME to Human Resources and Personnel. Employees are always wrong. Ethics and Corporate Compliance Policies are never enforced. And any/all managers can push out anyone they want at any point in time, but are highly encouraged to do so in the final month of the FY. That's why so many people just evaporated. 2 years ago employees protested wearing suggestive provocative t shirts to #BHUSA2023 and then were let go shortly there after. The House Always wins at Palo Alto. They don't enforce any workplace rules or proper employee management. You get punished if you speak up. ZERO SUM GAME 🎯

A CMO who has ONLY worked in APAC. Had ZERO US Based Brand experience. Zero global responsibility before they promoted him to the big job. Supreme Arrogance. Total FAIL on behalf of the Board of Directors to allow a person with ONLY APAC experience to be appointed. Brocade and Sun Microsystems are NOT impressive credentials....both organizations had scandal and had to be sold.

Baaaad executive appointment. And NOW it has shed light on the slanted opinions of the C Suite. I imagine white women are the least favorite employees looking at that c suite! (Token chief people officer who is never anywhere longer than 2 years....just accepting a paycheck and allowing it all to happen)

It is not even worse than you can imagine. Last year at Blackhat the CMO tried to get the women to wear these shirts. Some protested. He claimed it was necessary to "stand out". They encourage and invite inappropriate behavior from strangers while sitting in a fish bowl of your employees booth.
MY SAFE WORD IS ZIMPERIUM WITH Palo Alto Logo
AND
MY APPS ARE SO TIGHT

SOME EMPLOYEES WENT TO LINKED IN TO EXPOSE AFTER COMPLAINING AND BEING BULLIED INTO WEARING THEM....they finally chose against wearing the shirts.

Some of the employees who complained were pushed out during the ANNUAL HEAD 🗣️COUNT CLEANSE where HR gives Bad Managers full authority to push out anyone they don't like for any reason....all the while pretending we don't have layoffs.
