Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Someone has to actually Say It.

Intel leaders making the world look rosy in powerpoint is acceptable when you're trying to motivate your employees but when you do it externally it is considered ILLEGAL.

Rosy fictional roadmaps have been “leaking” to the public since well before BK.

No one was as masterful at PowerPoint lying as Raja though. Those things were like if you asked chatGPT to make some fake slides showing Intel taking over the discrete GPU space.

Important to note that a lot of Intel’s competitors don’t engage in publicizing this forward-looking roadmap stuff. When you have great current products or a foundry plan that is executing, there’s no need to blow smoke about a future that may or may not emerge.

Yep. Selling defective chips cannot be classified as "Headwinds" or "Market conditions".
