Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Jobs to India

Listening to politicians saying manufacturing jobs are coming back to US. I don't understand why none of them talk about corporations laying off and sending jobs to India. Has anyone tried talking to politicians about what's going on at the bank?

U.S. Bank and Elavon are not growing at a fast enough rate to continue to operate its businesses from the United States, so the jobs and critical operational functions have to go overseas to generate the number to still be attractive to investors, even when growth is not what the peer groups and competitors are able to show.

In my opinion, in reality, the only thing we are showing to the investor market, customers, employees and long time vendors and suppliers is the wholesale absence of leadership in the business

Agree with this but also, we need to ask our leaders if they’ve actually looked at data of IT quality, performance, amount of defects, etc since moving towards the 80% offshore model. Are they getting ROI? What about the long term approach? How much longer are onshore resources expected to continue to clean up their mess? How much longer is this supposed to happen behind the scenes? How many more PowerPoint presentations and fabricated data about what they’re delivering? How many hours were spent testing and performing code review on-site just for a small win for India product teams?
