CA is trying to protect his job; he will layoff as many as possible to save money for the investors and save his job in the meantime ; don’t believe what he says
Don’t believe in him
How about accounting/finance, marketing and HR roles? Anyone hear if those employees will be impacted?
Program Management ~10%, engineering less than 5%
From the grapevine. Apparently notifications in Sep as said by previous poster and no severance. The second point sounds dubious.
Layoffs will happen in September last pay day would be early November
Total folks affected would be 150-180 in SD and less than 300 in NA.
REMOTE EMPLOYEES BEWARE.
Bonus would be 1.35X and no bonus for RIF.
This is second hand information from a trusted source.
When is the announcement
as small as his wee wee
I'll be a small "maintenance layoff". Since OPEX reduction was not even mentioned in EC. I'll only be a fraction of the ~1200 people affected Oct 2023. That's my best guess.
My team is told 10%.
When I was at Q I remember hearing that same thing. We were told we would hardly notice it. That was, in fact, true. But it was followed several months later by a much heavier layoff.
Why can’t we tell everyone the head count cuts and give notices asap rather than walking on egg shells. The continued delay will basically force our most talented QCers to look for a new jobs and we are left with the underperformers. Management has no clue.
1200 at lease is likely.
