Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

CPX/IT LR on Team Call titled “Important CPX Update”

About 100 of us were part of the 350 to get notified this week.

The 350 is not part of the 7% announced in the earnings call.

A meeting was put on our calendar Friday afternoon for Monday after the check-in. It was a webinar and we were all forced on mute. They laid us off altogether (with I believe a separate call planned for India).

So impersonal. But, so very Cisco right now. What a disappointment.

I knew this was coming. Our manager stopped allowing us to take trainings several weeks back (even ones funded at ELT level) and a call with our VP was canceled “due to her schedule”.

Look for signs. They are out there!

They were also told they would get priority and sped up interview and it was clear not all recruiters were on the same page as some didn’t even know we were told this.

"Hundreds weee moved to IT and told to find new roles."

Hardly 2-3 got internal jobs downgrading themselves due to visa issues but rest were rejected upfront not even reviewing the resumes. Few got interviews calls those are pre-decided. Just for the heck of it or compliancy HM staged interviews

The people LR’d were told to find new jobs and were told that there was no end date to find a new job and not to worry about layoffs as that will not be the result. People pushed on what would happen if they couldn’t find one and on the timing and all of that was ignored, everyone in that group new the result would be layoffs but it was the least transparency I’ve ever seen in conjunction with not sharing a timeframe since back in Feb when we got moved to under IT and told this.

CPX (Customer & Partner Experience) was an independent organization under Maria. Thimaya dissolved CPX back in April.

Hundreds weee moved to IT and told to find new roles.

Those left without new jobs were LR’d yesterday.

In “Important CPX Update” call the VP was literally reading from a HR writeup to cover her _ss
350 people in CPX were sitting idle from last 3 months and there was big big politics happened but engineers were the scapegoats. ELT/IT/Fucher played bigger conspiracy by destroying the CPX, moving the disruptor leaders to different groups. IT realized that they are getting into their nerves, questioning the bureacracy, power, accountability. The only way to get away is to break CPX, move some to other groups and put to death for remaining. All internal jobs are BS, they are all staged and onboarded pre-identified people ....pathetic ...god only can save ....Amen...

Did they take roll call to confirm each person as part of layoff notification?

Better than LR through email?
