Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

at least parking will be easier

I won't have to drive around all these stupid a*s $100k trucks with trailer hitches sticking out in the parking garages when all the engineers are offshored.

Bangalore and Houston have similar climates. But a bit warmer there during winter.

2000 workers from CA minus 500 who won’t move minus 500 automated by AI fit into the 1000 petrotech and engineer seats they will cut in Houston. My guess is slow and steady downsizing, 200 cuts a quarter until India is up and running.
All works well and MW gets paid until they find we are just following the failures fast.
Anyway, I’m glad yer big d-mb trucks will be gone.

Actually it could be a blessing, Houston is a horrible city to leave, sometime you get the gift of destiny to try something new, somewhere new, maybe you get a job at a better location with less traffic and much better weather, tolerating the 103F is miserable!
