Numerous times we have heard Chuck Robbins and the entire ELT reassure Wall Street and the entire world that the reason for the layoffs was NOT cost cutting, but rather to reallocate resources to other areas of the business in several key areas, specifically AI, Cloud, and Cybersecurity. By now you've all have heard this.
How is that when I go into the Internal Cisco Jobs board, filter on US jobs in the areas of "Generative AI", "Cloud Services", or "Security" I only see 58 job postings open (as of Aug 21st).
Chuck, you're going to at least need to make an effort here, mkay? Have your HR open several hundred more of those black hole req's that don't go anywhere. You know the ones that all large companies used during the pandemic, to prop up jobs reports. HR behavior needs to match what you promised the street, otherwise it looks a little sus.
