2020 LR

Who else feels like they should’ve jumped ship after surviving the 2020 LR?

As long as you are growing in your career, it doesn’t really matter if you do it here or elsewhere. No job is safe. The only real reason to move is development opportunity or salary increase.

Really? Cisco lays off every quarter and every chance in between. Who wants to be employed in that toxic environment? Cisco puts Automation CI/CD to shame.

Biggest mistake was not taking the opportunity to jump ship in 2021 when market was at absolute peak everyone who applied outside got a job immediately, voluntary attrition i.e people quitting in cisco was at 15% some BUs lost 20 % of folks. Inspite of such voluntary attrition cisco did some mindless hiring and then mindless firing every fu--ing 6 months. Fast fwd 2024 cisco is at absolute sh-t of a mess, ruing at a bad career mistake i made :-(
