Severence change for Sept WFR?

Hearing that the # of years of service will be capped at 8.

Lots of rumors flying around everywhere right now - that seems like a horrific change to make right after super recent WFR folks got a bigger amount.

For UK, 6 weeks pay for every year you have worked (up to 10 years)

However, if it’s volunteer residency that reduces to 4 weeks.

Based on other companies I've worked at that have gone through drawn out WFR, I've found that the folks kept on are simply working for their severance.

I think they already capped it at 6 months. Before it was up to a year.
More changes to come and not to your benefit.

Off course they will. no innovation or game plan. these are the things we can see. Who knows what other skeleton is in the closet.

Just cost cutting and penny pinching.

8 weeks starting next year. However no NDA so you can slam them in public.

I heard from my boss, a Director, in Feb of 2023 that the exit packages were going to become less generous over time. I was laid off from a company in 2002 that gave the first wave 8 weeks of severance, the second wave got 2 weeks and the thrived wave was shown the door and had it slammed behind them.

I got confirmation of WFR in my org in September. I really thought we were good until Feb because that's what the rumors were. I have not heard anything about severance changes but then again, why would I.

I would be surprised by this and would question the veracity of this claim.

MSD would prefer no severance, has been looking for ways to avoid severance and the RTO approach is a clear example
