I'm sure the people not abiding by the current model will all of a sudden change their ways and start coming in when they increase the number of in-office days. How about firing them and leave those of us that do the right thing alone?
I come to work to beat off in the restrooms.
Overheard a couple of months ago in the SR cafeteria: "If we dont' need them in the office, they may as well be cheap workers elsewhere"
They don’t need to lease space. They will fire the WFH people and reeplace with ENGINE workers. If you can work remote so can a cheaper ENGINE worker.
Dashboard has proved to be another HR busy work project to justify extra headcount.
No. This is completely a rumor. Hybrid is going to stay.
Chevron is not stupid to make it so difficult for employees that they have no choice but to strike.
Wouldn’t surprise me. There’s no room though. They’ll start doing stuff to try to get people to resign voluntarily before they have to offer any kind of severance, especially now ahead of the whole India office thing.
Hold out, don’t let them get off easy.
Not completely gone, just adding more days in office. People still not respecting the hybrid work model. This is what happens when no one respects the model. Lazy people ruin it for the rest.
"They can lease space" lmao they shoved 10 floors worth of people into a falling apart lab building + the trading floors and hung curtains in conference rooms and put four desks in them rather than lease space for 9-12 months while the windows get repaired. Dream on.
There’s plenty of space. They can lease space in nearby buildings if needed. Plenty of vacancies downtown connected to the mothership via tunnel or skybridge. Keep dreaming.
Not sure if it’s true or not, but it keeps getting mentioned on here and never happens…
There isn't enough desk space in the buildings. OP must be a Petrotech who's upset about being offshored.
Good luck with that!
