More Proof That Cisco Chuck Robbins Has Checked Out

Cisco announced speakers at Aug & Sept Financial Community Technology Events and Chuck is not on any of them which means he plans on resigning or the financial communities see no reason to invite him to speak BS

he destroyed Cisco...

Chambers took it from $82 to $8 with some peaks but an average under $25 after that. It's now around 2.25X the $25 or so when Chuck took over, making it the 19th largest tech company by market cap and 22nd largest tech company by annual revenue as of the end of Cisco's FY2024.

I'm no fan of Cisco and it's loss of market share to others says it should have done better, but it's still a viable company with no networking peers at its scale.

His job is done... he destroyed Cisco... now is time for Golf. I don't know a single person at Cisco that thinks that Chuck is doing good for the company.

I think Cisco has run out of road. Expect 2-3 more massive layoffs over the next 18 months while they try to finally turn the supertanker. But, I don’t think you can fire more than 5% at a time—look how this 7% is going with terrible execution. But expect a few more on this scale, and maybe a sale or two.

Splunk folks in the know saying Gary is not staying much longer as he is not interested in managing the down sizing of a sinking ship

i don't think Gary is the savior that people keep thinking. If he becomes CEO, bye bye nice severance packages and expect way more massive layoffs

...reverse Darwinism that provides for the survival of the "UNFITTEST"

You need to learn that "fit" has many different meanings in the context of different environments, timelines and rates of adaptability. In the great bo-m Cisco acquired every niche in networking starving out many large competitors. It was successful by many measures for its time but complexity has made both development and properly integrating acquisitions effectively far more difficult and Cisco didn't adapt. The results are nontrivial drops in revenue, earnings and market cap.

When a CEO or a candidate refuses to do ANY interviews, it’s an indication that something is deeply wrong. You would never buy a product or invest in a company this way. The red flags are glaring.

When all your options are poor and you still need to make a choice and if one is the best of a bad set of options you go with it. At this point dealing every technology company (and candidate) is like a root canal without pain killers. Despite knowing how the sausage is made we still buy Cisco when they are clearly the best of a bad set of options.

I lost all respect when Chuck moved away from SJ HQ to Atlanta golf resort to avoid taxes

We all know this already. If Gary does well this quarter he gets the job.

Since Chuck, Fran, and ELT are all political animals we have been in a world of reverse Darwinism that provides for the survival of the "UNFITTEST"

Borders on corporate fraud that Cisco has no tech leader that can speak intelligently at an executive industry conference

I hope Chuck steps down or is quietly pushed out.
Cisco needed new leadership yesterday.
Change course or become another tech monolith just like Intel and IBM.

Who on earth in the world of IT, people and businesses who need guidance and have the path lit for them in terms of futures and where this industry is heading, wants to listen to the total bozo who is CR, a used car salesman? In all seriousness, WTF does he know??? What qualifies him to lecture to these people? My 3rd and 6th grade kids know more about IT than him. He is an embarrassment to all of us at Cisco.

Having a CEO that is no longer invited to speak at industry tech conferences should be more than enough proof that the board needs to take action ASAP to bring an outside tech guru to replace Mr Robbins
