Does the severance email include exactly how much $ you will receive or for unemployment support purposes is it better to just make an estimate based on accrued AL/LSL and the lump sum package?

Its in the portal. If you click "view details" it gives you what your payout (pre-tax) will be with the Cobra lump sum
The package does have exact numbers and terms. It includes severence plus an additional payout equivalent to some months of cobra. It has last date for rsu vesting.
You are considered an employee during the 60 day notice and can only apply for unemployment after your official last day. The income limit is $450 a week so you are likely not eligible for the week in which you are laid off. There is an additional one week waiting period. You are definitely eligible even after the large severence payout.
Severence pays the equivalent of 4 months plus salary but you collect after the 60 day warning, official last day. The severence pay does not really affect the wait.
Important Note: In California, you can still collect unemployment for the voluntary layoffs/early retirement packages.
Sure.. but do you know how much $$ exactly based on the severance email or do you need to come up with an estimate based on average monthly salary and what you roughly expected from the package in terms of AL/LSL + monthly lump sums?
It depends on your state. I live in CA and my unemployment was denied due to the large payout when I left.
There’s $$ to collect so I need to wait.
