Severance

Wondering if you are offered a severance package and accept, are you able to reapply in the future or does that end your time at BofA?

I know of at least 2 people who were hired back. 1 just came back over this summer.

There is a box that they mark on your file when you leave under any circumstance (e.g. severance, fired, resigned, got job at another company, etc. -- even retired.)

HR will ask your manager, who can say thumbs up or thumbs down.

Even if the manager says "eligible for rehire", if you rub them the wrong way, they can put whatever they want.

So if you think there is any likelihood you may want to get rehired some day, be sure to Play Nice with Everyone on your way out.

Yes that's key. When you leave make sure they don't mark you don't rehire.

Since you would be accepting a severance package, and not being fired, in most cases you would be marked as rehirable and be able to apply for a future position with the bank.
