Jobs being doubled/ overloaded on remaining shop management. Drivers reporting a lot less miles driven on truck. Guess that makes sense, less maintenance needed if not as much business coming in or predicted to come in due to a downward economy.

Union maintenance makes about $50 per hour and has expressed the reliable longevity importance for good quality parts to shop managers and drivers. It has fallen on deaf ears. Maintenance is left with doing the same repair jobs over and over. The money is good and few complain but the company sure is the loser in dollars waisted for no good reason . Critical parts are coming in that are junk right out of the box. All the photos,PSR's,s,documentation is made but no ending solutions ever happen.
Maybe less shop managers will mean better quality parts put into the delivery trucks. This will make drivers happy as they are tied of shop management ordering cheap parts just so mangers meet their "numbers" so they can put more perks in their own pockets.
Forced retirements.
The laid off managers will probably enjoy the holidays for the first time in years.
