Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Any news on next LR Q2 FY25?

Started doing some studies recently. Hopefully I can keep my job until this time next year to have enough time to finish my study and interview process.

H1 will tank (again) and another 5-10% will be announced so as to “rebalance priorities and focus on growth areas”. It is as certain as the stars are in the sky. LRs are cultural and systemic.

There will be much less LR, instead PIP is coming for further saving.
LR knock out the expensive. PIP will beat up the cheaper folks.

It’s not every 6 mos. Wake up! They don’t announce every layoff to the street. They do quiet layoffs quarterly.

February 2025 will target locations other than RTP and San Jose. It is already in the works, but it’s only a guess and speculation like all the other times.

Why voted down? Even during earnings call they said 80% LR expense is in Q1. The rest is in Q2/later
