Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Employee and customer?

If you were severed are you moving your accounts? Where? What about credit cards? I find it highly suspicious that 3 weeks after I was severed I got an email from USB card that made it sound like I was required to update my salary. I assume they would have dropped my limit or worse?

I would never keep my savings, checking, investments, credit cards, loans or mortgages where I work.

Shady on us bank , they can’t require you to update your salary that is considered voluntary information. It might have triggered an employment status update since you were an employee but now that your a customer you have the same privacy rights as any customer and they shouldn’t be using your personal data like that without cause like you applying for credit. You don’t have to update your salary, if you’re confident ask them why and what triggered that and go from there but it sounds like shady practices yet again from us bank.

Another great reason not to bank where you work, it’s considered internal information such as your salary, transactions and other financial details. They would consider it “payroll” and have more access to it than if you were a customer.

Closed everything and destroyed all my logo products. Except for the envelope openers, those are the best.

Never bank where you work. I use a small credit union, and wouldn't have it any other way
