As IBM pushes for more automation, its AI simply not up to the job of replacing staff

No one should be in any way shocked and moreover, IBM doesn't care one bit.

AI is just used to grift money from rube investors. Lets be honest: outside of word editing, language translation, replacing phone centers with even worse customer service, AI is not going to turn into the $$$ that folks think it will. $300 billion spent on it, and a net return of less than 3$ billion so far. It is not the game changer people think it is, at least not right now.

Automation @IBM is a barefaced lie when it comes to replacing staff - it's more likely that Alvind and his Pi-pmunk cronies want bigger bonuses in 2025. After all, Alvind took home a 20 million dollar (!) bonus in 2024 and needs to improve that number to show the Wall Street shareholders that he cares about them and their desire for a higher share price.
