I'm going to be very clear and it's possible you've not heard this before. As a legacy Viasat employee I can say without hesitation that Viasat fu---d Inmarsat. I agree with your perpectives of how it must feel to work with an out of touch and disconnected organization like Viasat. I'm familiar with the problems the Inmarsat organization had, sure those existed, but Viasat didn't bring anything to make them better. We fu---d you because we don't know how to build satellites. We fu---d you because we ignore customer wants. We fu---d you because we think we are smarter than our customers. We fu---d you because we couldn't afford the deal in the first place, needing gobs of debt that we now both have to contend with. We fu---d you because our religion hindered what would have been faster pivots to LEO partners for your businesses. We fu---d you because we haven't got the foggiest idea what to do with your business lines except watch as those markets cede to StarLink. The reality is that Inmarsat saved Viasat, with their legacy revenues while all VS3 revenues got massively delayed. I could go on, but it may be helpful to know there are legacy Viasat employees who understand the truth.

Hey don’t be jealous of Inmarsat folks who would have preferred to stay and build a good company but were fired by a cr@p company.
Just celebrate your “hire at will” freedoms and enjoy your life in Viasat USA, while it lasts.

Hey some "Inmarsat folks" did very well out the acquisition - the ones who left last November with juicy exit packages under the old Inmarsat scheme.

Yeah well that’s the “Viasat attitude” right there, you just dismiss anything not invented in Carlsbad.

Here is what Viasat loses with the Air France news - all the future HBC+ Airbus fleet, plus 35 A350s in revenue service with Inmarsat GX. Like for example the one Mark & Guru has a cr@p experience on recently. Oh, and tons of kudos with a big Skyteam partner who will now evangelize Starlink to Delta and all.

Here is what Inmarsat folks learned from the “poorly conceived acquisition”, Viasat doesn’t listen, doesn’t understand anything “nothing invented there” and doesn’t learn.

Really bad recipe for layoffs to come.

Air France will replace ALL connectivity providers. Air France will be replacing the "HBCPlus" Airbus fleet which was awarded to Inmarsat (so is now a Viasat fleet). Sadly, Viasat is impacted by Air France move to LEO. Just because Viasat was not listed as a provider does not mean that it isn't a provider ;)

Air France will replace multiple connectivity providers, including Anuvu (formerly Global Eagle), Intelsat (formerly Gogo’s commercial division) and Panasonic Avionics.

They did not mention Viasat.
