Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

As an avid job quitter, I’m telling yall right now: this is NOT a quitting economy.

"Maybe you can go south of the border and come back in as a migrant. Then you can get a job!"

Maybe scream at the employers hiring them?

I thought I wanted to get displaced until it happened. I hear what people are saying about the job market and it is terrifying. I'm so thankful to God WF hasn't ditched their severance (yet). Really scary time to be without a job and over 40.

It is nuts. More jobs are gained by networking than ever before. Meetup.com is an invaluable tool. I find the YouTube site .https://www.youtube.com/@ALifeAfterLayoff invaluable.

This too shall pass. Market will change; people will move on to better places. Wells Fargo however will remain the shi hole until regulators take action.

my fiance got fired in may and it's now the end of september and she's still looking she's sent out hundreds of applications but the only responses she's getting are from people offering way less than she made or saying they don't have any positions available right now it's so frustrating

The job market isn't what it once was. On average, it's taking much longer for people to find stable employment, and when you add inflation to the mix, it's just nuts 😜 .
