Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

The Dead Wood always floats at Teradata

It will not be surprising with another round of riffs looming that the dead wood will again survive what now is as an annual event.

The leadership and those favoured will once again have shed their responsibility to employees and clients through lack of strategy and vision for another year. The burden of their actions shouldered by those who simply acted on their guidance of the ELT.

It’s ironic an organisation which emphasises the importance of the analysis of data to recognise trends to enable strategic decisions has constantly failed to analyse the failure points or has it just chosen to ignore the obvious…. No vision, no Strategy no worries just as long as I’m alright Jack.

Those who don't play the bootlicker game will always get shafted. Just look at those who have been riffed in the past. Highly skilled people with knowledge. They were riffed because they spoke up and made a difference. Their staff loved them for being honest.

In the end they only want staff who are obedient and nod

They float like turds in a punch bowl. And are as valuable.

Look at the list of buys/sells of company stock over the last three years. ELT has done nothing but sell. This is not normal at other companies including smaller ones where CEO pay is less. ELT selling without a single buy (even 1 share) is a huge red flag and a sign they don’t believe in their own vision or strategy, whatever that might be.

There’s a lay off list already?

The usual list of brown nosers are starting to line up to keep their jobs. We all know who they are act they begin to act differently all of a sudden. They smile, laugh at the lame jokes that the ELT try to make and would literally get down on their knees and kiss the feet of the ELT if told to.

They do not want to hear what is actually happening so the people who smile and agree with them keep their job

I feel the same way. Through a round about way, I found out I’m on the list to be laid off. All of a sudden there is a rush for me to complete important tasks and create instructions for someone to do my job. It doesn’t matter how many instructions I write, the people left are not competent enough to understand them. That’s how I got hired in the first place.
