NOT OP, BUT UPDATE *
was told that if you have to pick up kids from school during work hours, you have to use pto time
If you have to drop off kids in the morning, which then makes you late, you have to use pto
If your kids are in daycare for 3 days a week (bc initially it was hybrid 3 days in office), you have to use pto on days they are home
Issues with these, after-school programs are finalized and closed to enrolment after the school year starts. That started about 2 months ago
Daycare is mostly the same. They have enrollment periods and are generally full. Most people can't just opt in to full-time at a daycare, given the ratios odds adults to kids as well as overall capacity.
These enrollment periods don't open, generally, until Xmas break or at the end of the school year.
If we run out of pto, and not in the office during work hours (regardless of whether it's for pickup kids at school), we will face disciplinary actions.
