Probably once the Houston modernization project is finished. They’ll need to justify the unnecessary expense of the project by forcing people to come back and suffer the terrible open workspace design.
Would be nice if people could just align with hybrid so we don’t risk losing it. Hold people accountable and stop whining.
RTO will probably be hidden in an email during the holidays, to take effect Jan. 1. They may even go as far as to eliminate any return to 9/80. SR is sick of all the WFH abuses, those who whine or complain will be eliminated in the 2025 layoff round.
Our leadership is completely out to lunch. Their goal is to make things absolutely miserable for the employees. Going to destroy any productivity left. If you want to waste time in the office head on up there for the collaboration that cuts down on productivity.
Full RTO will most likely be coming soon and used as a tool to thin out the workforce. For those who don’t want to RTW they’ll resign
Same, she said get ready to start coming in every day which is no problem for me, we all did it for decades, why is that a problem now? I personally like coming in, the hustle and bustle, the rat-race as they call it. Some don't. They should let those who want to stay home stay home and maybe take a pay cut. Working from home while you do laundry, watch the bambinos and cook meals for your family is a perk, let's all own up to that and cut through the BS. I like being able to do that sometime too but it's a benefit.
My supervisor suggested that I get used to coming in more days. Coming soon. Plenty of office space over here.
Hoteling is the answer. Go around the office. Tons of open desks.
there isn't enough desk space.
either full RTO or lower salary adj
Whisper suggests the wildly expensive ANU HQ will shut down on fridays. Few circus tents and gen sets would offer better value.
According to the brainiacs on this board, RTO already occurred months ago.
All the jobs getting sent to Bengaluru will be 5 days in office. No need for the Americans to come to the office any more. Problem solved!
Not going to happen anytime soon, even for Amazon they may back track as there is huge employee anger and push back. If Chevron decides to follow it will be late next year after possible Hess integration or some major economic events have to bring it forward at an earlier date.
It has been rumoured for a while. No news yet...
