Most of the people at office seem to be goofing around or just pretending to work trying to impress their bosses its a total sham and not to mention the noise pollution makes me want to bang my head on the desk sometimes
H1-Bs are stuck ! May be 5% will change their jobs. Rest will remain.
10-15% turnover and PIP is common in Amazon.
Customers go to AWS offices to meet engineers, see demos and then buy stuff
This survey is wrong. The right number is 72.95% .
As of there aren’t lazy people who goof off in the office too. Ha!
The difference is, WFH I don’t have to be chained to the desk and “look busy” as I would have to do in a cube farm with a manager breathing down my neck walking down the aisles.
You either can have real productivity and let me WFH and get some extra tasks outta me since I don’t have to commute- or you can have pretend productivity as I have to tolerate my co-workers discussing the latest episode of The Bachelor or some other cr-p I don’t care about while I’m trying to actually get something done.
Even though no one wants to admit it, everyone of us goofs off working remote and AWS wants to continue to be a leader unlike Cisco that is just in it to line Chuck's pocket with RSU's
Goal here is to get people to leave voluntarily to avoid optics of an otherwise massive LR planned for just after the election.
Experts say strict office attendance policies may be a way to get people to quit and avoid the cost of laying them off.
this is all posturing
maybe 1% will leave and those are the ones who already have their retirement cash pile set aside and were just milking the job for health insurance
Thata what the mgmt wants …. Loool
Please quit so some real jobs will be posted instead of the fake ones
