Required DEI courses

Last week, I noticed those required DEI courses but with no due date were still lingering on my to-do list. However, today they are now gone - apparently no longer required? Have we turned the corner on some of this DEI nonsense?

Yes, WF is winding down DEI as have many other companies. It has proved to be a failed social experiment as many have attested. Promotions and advancements will be based on the individual’s contributions, leadership and measurable metrics that increase profits and grow client relationships .
(The way it was done in the up until the last 4 years.)

"Since taking those were part of your responsibilities, your completion of those will be calculated in your annual review. You manager will receive notification."

No it won't.
It isn't a requirement at all, it isn't mandatory, compulsory, or part of any responsibilities.
You have been brainwashed into thinking that.
And the dopes who pushed that out there are now pulling them back. They no longer are in my dashboard. So, there's that.

Exactly, DEI is actually a disservice to great candidates, whether minority or not.

"Nobody is afraid of anything Einstein. It's not the point.

The issue is that people are hired to do a job. That is the agreement and expectation from both parties, to do the job.
Most people are with the belief that you hire the person who is the best fit for the job. Not because of skin, creed, s-x, age, etc. Your hire the best candidate.

Having a company go beyond this to assume we are all ignorant and need to be educated in their purview is actually quite insulting. And frankly, it is social engineering.
No thank you. I can think for myself. Been doing it for decades.

It seems the newer, younger workforce is the target audience anyway. They have to bring them into the collective so they all think the same, talk the same. Maybe you missed out on some of the values they want to preach to you that you should have learned growing up. So, If you want to take those courses, knock yourself out. Become a good little Borg."

That sounds great and all, except every time Wells hires a highly qualified candidate who just happens to be a minority, there's a lot of murmuring about how they're obviously a DE&I hire. I mean, think about the subtext!!!

There's a big difference between fear and recognition that something is immoral and despicable.

Do you "fear" separate drinking fountains, or simply recognize that they are unjust?

Anyone that hasn't done them goes on "the list". If you want to be laid off, it's not a bad list to be on. If you don't...

I’d attribute it to more incompetence just like every other area at Wells. Go to DevU and see your completed courses. Those courses show up as being completed for me, even though I ignored it.

I'm guessing the DEI-hires accidentally removed it from everyone's training list.
