This can be done if Ford really focus on laying off the right people. There are so many Ford employees with nothing to do, WFH, pretenders, coasting along hoping for a buyout, few more years to retirement, hiding out and staying low profile, working 2 jobs, many are not contributing to the company at all. This is just to name a few that I gave seen during the past 5 years at Ford. No one is doing anything about it, including management team managers, LL6 to LL3. It's a buddy system, so they are just milking the company until the company file for bankruptcy or until they get a buyout. It's pathetic, but that is what's going on within Ford.
Ford leadership has not announced any upcoming layoffs. Nothing mentioned at the last Global Town Hall.
Fake news. But seriously Ford could trim 50% of the salaried and have improved productivity IF it trimmed the correct 50%. But they NEVER do. They keep and expand the bloated management, their lackeys and the friends and family.
25 years on a retired DBA LL6’s mistress is still collecting a GSR 8 paycheck as a database administrator despite being totally incompetent. Yup over the years she has been promoted and shuffled between technical groups while the people who actually did work were canned in the various layoffs. Yeah Ford!
