Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford is the Titanic that is slowly sinking

If you think there is a future here are this dying company, you are just joking to yourself and lying to yourself.

  • We are way behind Tesla
  • company is full of over seas contract workers ( rampant hiring in India, etc)
  • Way behind technologically
  • No top talent ( lets face it no one is dying to join Ford, we are all here because we are mediocre at best / had no other options)
  • Morale is below the ground
  • No innovation/ advancements

Take your paychecks and plan to escape otherwise you will go down with the ship

@nls+1uMc0zZD Ford family is driven by INCOMPETENCE. Outsourcing is just a way to keep the company afloat (won't work).

@gxa+1uMc0zZD The Union is part of the problem, but not all. We had Union for decades and Ford still made money. The company decline started after Bill Ford took over the family business.

@fwi+1uMc0zZD Our "leadership" are just clowns, buffoons and liars that entertain, praise and booster Bill Ford's ego. So like children, they drop whatever they have in their hands to go after the latest shiny toy.

@OP. I am not planning to escape anywhere, nor to go down with the ship. While Ford slowly sinks, I am building my own raft.

A major company that is in a constant state of Identity crisis. Honestly the leaders of this company are just delusional followers pretending to be pioneers. We make so much money from trucks yet we still don't know how to make high quality product because our leaders are focused on tech they no nothing about.

And why is that? The outdated union is the problem. The company is weighed down by the typical BS unions push. Keep the useless and work the best ones to death and cry about the littlest things. Unions are just a bunch of red tape bogging the company down so they can't make business decisions.

Ford family is driven by greed. Futurists have stated not all OEMs will survive the transition to EVs. Decisions to off shore nearly all work to LCCs where there are many cheap laborers but no competence is a recipe for disaster. Ford is likely to be one of the automakers that does not survive. And if it does survive, it will no longer be an American company. It will have sold its soul to Asia. The family will still reap benefits of the dividend, while US workers are left unemployed.
